Water for Ochicha Community
Water for Ochicha Community Sponsored by POUL DUE JENSEN FOUNDATION/GRUNDFOS
Location
Ochicha Community, Ikeduru Local Government, Imo State, Nigeria.
Goal
To implement an advanced tool for sustainable water supply and smart water management.
Ochicha Community houses the Community School and Community Health Centre, though over 4,500 residents do not have access to safe water sources. This project is designed to install Grundfos AQtap Water ATM – an intelligent machine that dispenses water through a simple interface for credit transactions using smart cards.
Grundfos AQtap is an advanced tool that addresses main challenges of providing reliable and sustainable water supply, as it supports the financial viability and accountability of water service operations. Hence, it currently operates as a water kiosk connected to the water network – as it is combined with vast range of high-quality pumps, controls, disinfection and water treatment
solutions.
Captiving moments.
