Covid-19 Water Challenge
Rector Cares Foundation is an NGO which provides clean and safe water to rural areas in Nigeria. With over 190 Million Nigerians, Nigeria is particularly vulnerable to the Covid-19 Pandemic and Hand washing is a key defense against Coronavirus.
Sadly, 5.5 Million Nigerians still live without a source of clean water, hence Rector Cares Foundation started a challenge called the #Covid19waterchallenge to provide clean and safe water to these communities who do not have access to clean water in Nigeria.
During this Pandemic, the foundation has provided four (4) storage tanks, each with a capacity to hold 2000 liters of water, to the Langbasa Community in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The community members are now able to fight the pandemic with access to the water provided. We expect to see an improvement in the general well-being of the community.
The Foundation is currently working on a project to provide three (3) storage tanks; each with a capacity to hold 3000 Liters of water, to Ozuitem Community in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State. Water is essential in times like this, hence, Rector Cares is working hard to ensure that these struggling communities are adequately equipped to fight and survive the deadly COVID 19 virus.
